Liberty Road Seafood and Steak Restaurant

If you are in the Maryland area, do NOT leave without trying out this place. I'm not even a seafood fan, but everyone enjoyed it and the food I did eat was the best I ever had. The sauces are homemade and delicious, the sweet tea is perfect. I can't wait to go back. It's a 45 minute drive from home but worth the trip.

  Duck Donuts
Posted by: Valerie - 08-01-2022, 08:57 PM - Forum: Food and Restaurants - No Replies

Another Duck Donuts is opening in Whippany, New Jersey.

Duck Donuts are, hands-down, the best donuts on the face of the earth, even better than Krispy Kremes. They are made fresh to order.

At first they were only available in North Carolina, but chains have been opening up around the country and I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor, if you see a Duck Donuts during your travels, stop in for a warm and yummy treat.

  The Forum Rules
Posted by: Valerie - 08-01-2022, 07:24 PM - Forum: Forum Rules - No Replies

1. Treat other members with the respect they deserve. This should go without saying, but treat others like you would like to be treated!

2. The forum language is English only! Please only post in other languages in PM.

3. Please do not spam. The definition of spam is an irrelevant or advertising post. Any post considered spam will be removed.

4. Please do not post threads text in all CAPITALS since this is considered to be shouting and is not necessary.

5. Please refrain from posting images larger than 800x600.  Link to a photo if necessary. This is considerate to members with slow internet speeds, and keeps the forum looking tidy.

6. Using red text is forbidden. Only moderators and administrators may use this.

7. Insulting and flaming or personal attacks against forum staff will be not tolerated.

8. Please be considerate in the language you use on the forum, some of our members are younger than others. Swearing is not completely banned, just do not swear unnecessarily, and only use minor words. A filter is in place to safeguard this system.

9. No hacking, and illegal activity, such as torrents and illegal downloads, this will not be tolerated, and if appropriate, may be reported to the local authority.

10. Please do not post inappropriate material, I think everyone understands what I mean by this. The policy goes that if you would not feel comfortable viewing it at work, or in front of children or your parents, don't post it!

I think these rules are clear and easy to follow. These are only in place to ensure our community is a fun place to be, and a comfortable atmosphere for all.

Depending on the severity of the infraction, a different course of action may be taken, but the usual practice is as follows :

1st rule break (Minor offense):

Corrected, A PM will be sent.

For a more serious offense, a warning will be issued, this is a mark against your name letting us know you have broken a rule.

2nd rule break:

Another warning and a reminder that the next offense will permanently ban you from the forum.

3rd rule break

On your 3rd warning, you will receive a permanent ban from the forum.

If you have any questions regarding the rules feel free to PM any member of site staff, who will be able to clear things up for you.

No more counting or logging food
Posted by: Valerie - 08-01-2022, 06:56 PM - Forum: Weight Loss - No Replies

Has anyone lost weight without counting calories, weighing your food and logging your workouts? I'm tired of doing all of that because I start off doing so well with tracking then I fall off the wagon.

What did you do to lose weight without logging calories in and calories out?

Photo Amplifier

Like new amplifier from Rogue. 10watts. It's a little dusty but it works fine. Comes with power cord and amp plug.

Price $15

Stolen text from here:

The new Rogue G-10 guitar amp produces a variety of tones in a compact size.

The Rogue G-10 preamp section has a master volume and overdrive switch to go between clean and overdriven sounds. The 2-band EQ is simple and allows for adjusting the amp to match the player's style and guitar. The headphone jack automatically switches off the internal speaker.

The Rogue G-10 is a great starter amp and will continue to serve as a practice tool for those that graduate to a larger amp.

Features

  • Compact size
  • Switch for clean or overdriven sound
  • Master volume
  • 2-band tone control
  • 1/4" Headphone out

Heart Born a Crime
Posted by: Valerie - 07-17-2022, 10:27 PM - Forum: Books - No Replies

You know I had to do it.  This is my go-to book when anyone asks for a book recommendation: Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. I purchased the paperback book and the audiobook.

If you can only get one, I suggest the audiobook because Trevor reads the book himself.

It's funny, it's smart and is compiled of stories about growing up in South Africa and how he ended up coming to America.

I wrote a review I deleted prematurely, if I get a chance I'll write another one, but my favorite story is about Trevor's alternative to using the outhouse on a rainy day.
