last weekend i visited tamerlaine sanctuary & preserve in montague, new jersey.
i first heard about tamerlaine years ago because one of the attorneys where i work is its founder, but it wasn’t until another person i know went and talked about his experience.
it was the last nice weather weekend in october – no coat or jacket needed – and i wanted to photograph some of the fall foliage before the leaves fell off the trees, so off we went.
below are a few pictures from the tour of the farm.
from their website:
“Tamerlaine Sanctuary’s mission is clear: we rescue and rehabilitate farmed animals, while also advocating for them and educating the public. We recognize the harmful impact of animal agriculture on animals, the environment, our health, and our planet.”
i love animals and living on a farm is one of my dreams. during the tour, the guide spoke of the horrific treatment of animals for profit or food and it’s heartbreaking. i don’t want to hop up on my soap box, but if you can, please look for animal alternatives. animals deserve better.
Nice very nice looking
