finally! i’ve found a worthy walking partner and her name is holly.
she’s a little older than me, dependable and hasn’t missed a workout yet.
check out my exercise calendar pre and post holly:
(a green bar means i did some type of exercise or a timed walk. a solid blue bar means i met my steps goal for the day)
day after day between 6 – 7 a.m., she wakes me up with an enthusiasm that can’t be human ready to hit the pavement.
no one should be that excited to exercise so early in the morning.
i used to love morning workouts, but that was before i became fat.
and the kinks in my body do not work themselves out until early afternoon. the morning is not to be played with.
but back to holly.
she’s terrific and just what my neurologist ordered. my doctor suggested i start a workout program to help with my nerve pain.
the suggestion made me mad because i wake up in pain every day and my doctor handed me a prescription for jumping jacks.
not exactly what i was expecting, but okay.
i’m happy holly gives me a push to get moving, but she doesn’t care if i’m in pain or not.
she’s not good in the sympathy department and oftentimes walks ahead of me as if to show off.
i shout for her to slow down and she will, but continues looking back to see how close i am to her and if i’m too close, she speeds up.
rude, right? yup!
actually, she’s somewhat of a bitch, but ain’t no woman like the one i got.
